La Seiva Primary School Music Program

Trinidad & Tobago 2017

The People Bridge partnered with the Rotary Club of Maraval of Trinidad and Tobago to fund the costs of material and equipment to facilitate the purchase of musical instruments, music accessories and teaching materials for La Seiva Primary School Music Program.

The project is focus in children that are mainly from impoverished homes. This programme was initiated with the understanding that music education is one of the most important aspects of education overall, because of its ability to stimulate learning and development in every area of a child’s life.

This includes, boosting academic achievement, fostering better social skills among students, overall nurturing and development of health attitudes and dispositions through a meaningful and enjoyable curriculum.

The music room was officially opened and blessed in March 29th, 2017 and an article has been published about the projects where The People Bridge is mentioned as an sponsor on the newspaper from Trinidad & Tobago, you can read it here.
